I am South African, and I would like to live in the United Arab Emirates. I am currently in Johannesburg.

About me

I am a young South African female and applied for a post   in Dubai. My application was successful,now I just need to reassurance that as a South African I will be okay for the 2 years of my contract . It may sound silly but I have heard so many stories about Human-trafficking world-wide and now that I have been offered the position
I wonder if there are many other South African's living in Dubai. Is it safe? Are there "support groups" for someone like myself who has never been away from home for more than a week and would like to make friends during my stay.
And if possible get in touch with another South African before I leave and talk to them and find out how they adjusted.
