Hello Expats!
I was born and raised in Germany, later ended up in the USA because of marriage(lived in Washington State, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Maryland). I have two, now grown, sons. Now I have an Indian husband and have been in Delhi for the last 5 year, on and off.
I have a Bachelor Degree in English from the University of Maryland, I love reading and writing, and talking taking photos, movies and a whole lot of other things.I live in East Delhi. I joined this blog to find expat women to exchange thoughts.

My life & projects in this location:
I have lived in Delhi with interruptions since November 2004. I am here only because my best man is here.
My occupation:
I am a Jane of all trades. I have worked as a translator, admin person, literacy tutor, library assistant and in the facility management field.
What I like about this destination:
Delhi is a green city with many nice parks. There are a million photo opportunities here and life in India makes you rethink everything you ever believed in before.
What I don't like about this destination:
There are endless things to dislike: the pollution, the traffic, the madness of the sheer number of people, the staring, the rudeness, and difficulty of getting around. Better not go into it too much.

Maryland
I lived in the USA from November 1998 to June 2001
What I liked about this destination:
Baltimore is versatile. We lived in Towson which is a nice town for pedestrians, everything in easy reach.
What I didn't like about this destination:
Baltimore as a city has a lot of problems with poverty and crime. Watch "The Wire" to see the tip of the iceberg.
