I am not yet an expatriate, but I am looking for information about life abroad.

I am American, and I would like to live in Ireland. I am currently in Bethel.

About me

I come from Delaware. My wife and I are dual citizens to Ireland. I have ancestry in Ireland on both my paternal and maternal sides. My wife Catherine's paternal grandfather was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was a former legal secretary and I was a career firefighter.
  I am exploring an idea to go to Ireland for a couple of months. I want to visit several counties where my ancestors lived. One would be Mayo/Galway borders towns of Shrule and headford. But also of keen interst is Cavan county where my maternal grandmother was from. I believe I should still have some relatives there and I want to visit the gravesite of my g. Aunt Maggie Mc Cabe who lived till 104 years.

I want to look for work and find a place to live near transportation and facilities if possible.

My birthday is on 2 September, I was born in 1943
