I am not yet an expatriate, but I am looking for information about life abroad.

I am Australian, and I would like to live in Thailand. I am currently in Gold Coast.

About me

I currently have a partner of 2 years who works in Don Tan (near Mukdahan) and we have a long distance relationship.  I travel over as often as I can.  I plan to live in Isaan within the next 2 years and this Forum offers me the opportunity to gain some insight prior to my arrival.  I have undertaken both my TESOL certificate and Business English certificate as well as a Professional Editing & Proofreading diploma to complement my 30 years experience in the Australian Government.  I hope to be able to put these skills to use, either voluntary or gaining some employment, once I have settled into the area.
