Tanzania has stunning national park, precious natural resources such as Tanzanite and the people are generally kind and friendly. Do not expect everything to be efficient, on time or people not to argue, that is common here--but for the most part, it is a great place to live for a while.
I lived in Vancouver and Victoria on and off from 2010 to May of 2014. I was in Vancouver first as a tourist during the Olympic in 2010 and returned in 2011 as a student then contracted with a nonprofit organization from 2012 to 2014. Living there has had its ups and down but for the most part, it is true that Vancouver is one of the most beautiful places on earth to live in!
It is a beautiful city to live in and very green ( Stanley Park being one example of green luscious areas in the city). Also, I enjoyed the beautiful Lynn Valley Park in North Van, great for hiking, trail running and some technical mountain biking and the famous Grouse Grind Mountain trail for exercising.
generally speaking I fond the people to be cold, hard to make friends. Vancouver is a city where everyone most people are into yoga, skiing, boating, hiking are the other usual activities people do in their free time. While I loved hiking, I was not too much into the other ones and I felt quite isolated from the yoga scene....also, Vancouver is extremely expensive when it comes to the housing market.
First, I was a nanny and then went back to school and worked in between my bachelor and master degrees.
Both Oregon and Utah are beautiful states to live in. In Oregon, even if it was many years ago, I remember with great delight the many opportunities I had in the week-end to go hiking with friends in the surrounding of Portland. Portland is so green and hiking trails are all around. Also later on I lived in Central Oregon ( Bend) and loved that dry part of the state. Utah is fantastic in so many ways. Not only it is very safe but also people are friendly, family oriented and no there is more then the polygamy in Salt Lake, there is great skying, great hiking, there are gorgeous National Park of different kind such as Zions, Bryce, and Arches.
Nothing really. Maybe if you are single though you would find you are constantly surrounded by families (which is great) but in a way, it may feel lonely.
