I am not yet an expatriate, but I am looking for information about life abroad.

I am Australian, and I would like to live in Japan.

About me

I live in Brisbane, the best place to live in the world. Perfect climate especially in Winter, sunshine every day. However, I must go to Japan at the end of this year and I may have to stay there for an extended period of time. I have some Japanese language skills which I have learned from my Japanese friends. Going to Japan will therefore have a positive effect on my Nihongo, hopefully. I don't know how I am going to deal with the Japanese Winter. It will be a shock to the system after living in comfortable Brisbane. I used to live in Melbourne a long time ago which may I say has an awful climate. It is so long ago that I have forgotten what really cold weather is like. Hopefully I can acclimatize to the Japanese seasons. Still, there is always Sakura season to look forward to.
