About me

Hi, I'm Katherine and moved to Holland one month ago from Niagara, Ontario, Canada. I taught at a college and university there and now am finding my way here in the Netherlands. I have a great life here, great partner, great home yet......miss the little Canadian things...you know...RCAF - Royal Canadian Air Farce, Tim Hortons, the way we joke about the Americans (yes, that old love/hate thing) and of course my friends and family. Although I've travelled here during the past year often, every 6 weeks to stay a month, I have occasional bouts of intense loneliness and anxiety. I've travelled alot for work but have never left a job, left a house, given all my possessions away....and came to stay with nothing but 2 suitcases and love for my Dutchie partner....So how to combat these moments of weakness? Therein lies the question...SO all expats that are staying for good.....advice???? Cheerio EH.....Katherine
