I am American, and I would like to live in Haiti. I am currently in Tampa.

About me

Hello, My Name is Jessica. I am currently a student at the University of South Florida. Currently i am majoring in Public Health with a focus on Global Health. I am a member of a Haitian sisterhood organization called Fanm Kreyol, Inc. Within this organization, we advocate women empowerment in equal rights and opportunities as well as breaking negative stereotypes against women in the Haitian community. I am of Haitian descent and i have a dream to go back to the motherland (Haiti) and do what i can to help. Since i have a passion for Health and science, my goal is to use my passions for the betterment of my country. Another aspiration is to pursue a degree in psychology and open a clinic for women in distress. All in all, i have big dreams and ready to take the risk. The cities i am thinking about is Jacmel, Okap (parent's home town), and Mole St. Nicolas. Any other suggestions?

What I like about this destination:

I like the convenience of essentials in close proximity (clean water in bathroom in the house). Love pop-culture (celebrity gossip, fashion, parties, music, Hollywood). Diversity and basic rights (freedom of speech, diverse schools) Comfortable living (Live in Florida-nice weather, no problem with bugs and pests) Open System- we have to ability to earn wealth and riches no matter where we came from (Ben Carson's story)

What I don't like about this destination:

Media- poisoning the minds of the children Education- Americans have potential but funding has been used for other things and not used for quality education. (I'm worried for my future children if i stay) Lack of resources- because of other focuses, there is a lack of resources and education for the needy. Public Health is a great concern as well.
