My path

About me

Coming from central Virginia where have lived all my life. Seems to be a widow maybe soon after 53 years of marriage to a wonderful man. One grown son, no grandchildren. Have Irish ancestors. Would like to find their home area, walk their land. Not afraid of vast differences in living conditions that I have been used to. Have been an administrator of a nursing home and would like part-time work in that field. Do realize shortage of work as here in the US and me being an older, though completely healthy, worker. I suppose all coming to Ireland of my age seeking the same dream - tiny cottage with area for small garden, near the sea, plenty of green hills for walking, peaceful, quiet, maybe within walking distance of a small town. Wuld have concerns because of my age, although health fine now, for available health care. Like solitude but good, nice, kind people as neighbors/friends would be welcomed also. Am a Christian, but no regular church attendance and probably will not do so qherever I may end up living the remainder of my life. Currently researching and writing the life of American thoroughbred, Kauai King, winner of the 1966 Kentucky Derby and Preakness. There is another American writer of horses - Bill Barich (I think that is his name without going to find his books upstairs) who now lives in Ireland. I would have limited finances and therefore have to know that this may always be just a dream for me. After graduation from Sweet Briar College here in Virginia, I did attend Oxford University in England and spent some time in Denmark. Thanks for any information that you think would be useful to me based on what I have written here.
