I have been living in Medellin since 11/2012 and am "tranquila" here, but am looking to escape the Big City and find some, cool green spot of land in which to raise some kale. I dearly miss kale.
I joined expat.com on 29 October 2011.
My life has been happy. My projects have been numerous - some successful, some not.
Beautiful mountains and sea with easy access, good economy, casual dress, great Asian food, many foreigners live here, a more "open" society to new ideas and values than East Coast, fun.
The winters are too long, wet, cold and grey. And they start in about October and go to about May. "Summer" is maybe the month of August if one is lucky and then Winter starts again. I like to be outdoors; the winter is hampering my style. The cost of living is quite high. It's another of those places in the US that you need to spend all of your time making money so that you can afford to live here.
