I am Romanian, and I am now living in Mozambique. I am currently in Nacala.

About me

Mihai. 29. Romanian. Married with Diana, Portuguese. Left my country in 2009, June, in order to join an NGO in Norway, that would eventually put me in a project in Mozambique. By a twist of fate, I arrived in 2009, December in Portugal, married with a Portuguese, so I did not made it to Mozambique, but still the desire to arrive there it is present. Me and Diana, are searching now a way to get somehow on the African continent, Mozambique if possible. Later edit : Two updates : I am 30 years old now, and arrived one month ago in Mozambique. Will be here for about 15 months.

I can speak Romanian, English, Portuguese

The White T-Shirt

I woke up early with the sun on my face and the ocean on my window...The day continued as usual in Muzuane, Nacala, Mozambique as I started to reorganize my stuff to go back to Europe, and to Mihai. My decision on quiting the volunteer programme was taken but the dream I had that day staid in my mind till today. It was 1 flash of a beautiful scean: The sun was shining in the sky and I was walking towards Mihai in a small garden full of small new planted herbs and fruit plants (maybe lemons or tomatoes, who knows).A kid came runing from my back directly towards Mihai, smilling and Mihai smilled back. I arrive closer to Mihai and I see his white t-shirt dirty with dark red soil. The feeling of this flash was a feeling of personal furfilling, of peace and hapiness. This was in 2009 and since then our lives had quit some interesting turns...but the simbol of that white t-shirt staid in my mind...always. So I always make sure Mihai has a white t-shirt in his closet, because like that I make sure that dream still can come true. Now we are back to Mozambique...and Mihai as a White t-shirt with him. This blog is our story together in Africa and our pursuit of putting that t-shirt full of dark redish soil under a warm beautiful sun
