I was a career soldier in the United States Army. I have worked and/or lived in: Panama/Germany/Korea/France/England/Marshall Islands. I am very interested in traveling abroad & learning new languages. I also enjoy writing people from other countries & cultures, so if you are an avid pen-pal enthusiast, contact me!

Illesheim
I lived in Germany from May 2000 to May 2003
My life & projects in this location:
Exploring Illesheim & the surrounding area every chance I got. Learning how to butcher German less & less. Enjoying German food & culture at every turn. On occasion, singing & playing guitar at a pub in nearby Bad Windsheim. Trying (unsuccessfully) to court the lovely local lasses (Sigh!)
My occupation:
U.S. Army Non-Commissioned Officer.
What I liked about this destination:
The weather, the food, the quaint villages and bergs in the area, the slowed, considerate lifestyle people engage in there. The community Schwimmbad (in Ansbach) where so many cooled off and played every Summer.
What I didn't like about this destination:
Sometimes, its remoteness to the city was a little taxing. Also, the early hours so many local businesses closed. But, alas, that's also a part of its charm, too. Hmm...
