I am not yet an expatriate, but I am looking for information about life abroad.

I am Canadian, and I would like to live in Belize. I am currently in Vancouver.

About me

I'm originally from Cape Town, South Africa but I've been living in Canada most of my life.  Fourteen years were spent in Ontario (Mississauga, Toronto and Guelph) and the last 28 years have been in Vancouver.

I'm the founder and co-owner of UncommonCruises.com, an online travel centre that focuses exclusively on non-traditional cruises -- like riverboat, tallship, barge, and expedition cruises.  Because our business is virtual, the beauty of it is that we can live anywhere and still operate it.

My partner and I have been scouting various spots around the world, looking for that perfect counter-balance to Vancouver where we can spend half the year.

I have one foot firmly planted in the arts (I'm an English Lit major) and the other in sports and business.

I'm more interested in a country's people, flora and fauna than its political or geographic climate.         

My birthday is on 30 September, I was born in 1952
