I am not yet an expatriate, but I am looking for information about life abroad.

I am Canadian, and I would like to live in the USA. I am currently in Montreal.

About me

I would like to move to Tx in about 2 years. I am a nurse and luckily, I have all the papers necessary to work in the states.
I want to have more info about the life in Tx and how is it for a francophone like me coming from Montreal (Canada), to move to a place like Tx: the mentality, the way that people are towards the foreigners, etc. I know already that the cost of life is very affordable and the weather very nice. So if someone can give me as much info as possible, I would really appreciate.
