I spent 18 years in Sutton, Massachusetts, a small town with not much to do. I was always itching to get out and travel the world and at 16, after saving my money for two summers, I was able to spend a summer abroad in Sicily, Italy. I thought that being away for a few months might satisfy myself but it only made it worse. In college I spent a year abroad between Spain and Argentina and when graduating jumped at the opportunity to return to Spain as a Language Assistant. Two years later I'm back in Spain, newly moving to Madrid, married to a Spaniard (though not quite ready for Spaniard babies). I'm trying to figure things out for myself and hope to work from home while l wait for my Spanish residency.
