We are coming to France to live, not visit. Having worked at a reasonably high intellectual level for a long time and having decided to retire then coming to France for several years to keep the mind busy learning about French culture seems a good way to ease off on life's accelerator. We are starting in July 2012 with a month at the Nancy University doing the summer school learning French and then spending the next few months in Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne in the Doubs, just south of Besancon, to find our feet and explore that region. We look forward to meeting a few ex-pats and learning from their experiences. I should add that we are not rich! but we are focussed on squeezing the most out of life that our pockets will allow. Any thoughts on how we might do that would be much appreciated. I imagine that by coming from Rockingham just south of Perth in Western Australia then we will have our eyes wide open! Cheers Michael and Ariel
