About me

Hi. I'm an Aussie living in Sweden which is pretty rare. Have lived here for about 20 years. Divorced, 2 kids aged 16 & 14. Engaged again! Am seriously considering moving to Spain in a few years time, when both kids are old enough to accept and even consider it to be a positive thing (they will be staying here but the hope/plan is that they will visit regulary). Apart from the obvious reason (weather) for wanting to move, it's also due to the fact that my fiancé suffers from hypothyroidism and is prone to arthritis. This is something that we've only just decided we'd seriously like to do so it's all very new. From what we've read we feel that the Costa Blanca would be the ideal location for us with Alicante being our first choice. We both work in the travel industry. I have never studied Spanish whilst my fiancé studied it at school for 3 years but that was of course a long time ago, so lessons are a necessity (have enrolled in a course here). We sincerely hope that we can realize our dream and make the move one day. Any info/comments/help etc are very welcome, especially regarding the language, work and finding a place to stay 8we would be looking at buying a flat or townhouse, maybe even a house). Thanks.
