About me
Hi, I’m Helen, and I’ve been living in New Zealand since December 31st 2004. I started in Wellington, and after 9 months moved to the wilds of the Wairarapa where I am completely at home. I’m addicted to coffee, the beach, owning a swimming pool, and for some really bizarre reason, personal finance.
After 18 months of answering finance questions on the ENZ forum, I compiled them into a single thread, and that in turn ended up being a book. The main gist of all of this is that I do not believe that migrants coming to New Zealand have to give up any hope of financial security, and I have no time whatsoever for the notion that your life as a Migrant has to conform to what other people think it should be 
My birthday is on 4 June

Getting the whole family our here, and really living the life we dreamed of.
My occupation:
Now a property Investor, and since living here, wrote Avalon's Guide and set up the blog. Dealing with my parent's residency application and the complaint that followed has become almost a job in its own right.
What I like about this destination:
This is heaven for me. Just where I need to be. Its calming for the soul.
What I don't like about this destination:
Actually - nothing :)
