About me

My name is Maya Frost and I'm an American woman living in Buenos Aires, Argentina--and loving it!  My husband and I moved here in 2006 after a year in Mexico.  In 2005, we sold everything and left our suburban American lifestyle behind in order to have an adventure abroad.  The tricky part: we had four teenage daughters to usher through high school, into college and beyond in nontraditional ways. 

The result of this experience: my book, The New Global Student:  Skip the SAT, Save Thousands on Tuition, and Get a Truly International Educaton, which was published in May 2009 by Random House.  You can learn more about the book at
