I am not yet an expatriate, but I am looking for information about life abroad.

I am American, and I would like to live in Croatia. I am currently in Boston.

About me

We are a family from Boston Massachusetts. We have a a 4 and 7 year old children. Currently we are in the planning and research phase of moving abroad next year! WELL.,,,,with the economic down times of America and our friends in Europe our dream of moving to Europe for a year with our children has been dashed. We are now looking at Central and South America. We will pray that my husbands company, which is now global.. will allow us to work remotely. Give us information, share with us your experiences and wish us the best!

My life & projects in this location:

I am a Foodie! MOM, Day trip traveler. Museum marveler. Wine taster; beer babe. WIndsurfing is a passion. I can be to the best beaches in Hyannis (KALMUS) or West Denis in about 85 minutes.

My occupation:

Former Respiratory Therapists. Presently a thai yoga body workers and Pyschology student (research)elementary education and adolescent behavior. I can do this from anywhere....

What I like about this destination:

Boston is a fantastic place to live. You do not NEED to have a car to live in Boston. Shopping is wonderful. Cultural events are constant..always stuff to do. Tons of wine expos both local and high end like the annual February wine expo at the BaySide Expo center. Great restaurants abound; North End, South End, East Boston! Boston is an easy city to walk around and the T is easy to understand. However, it does shut down at 1:00. Much earlier than the bars. Boston prides itself on its culture, link to the past and its museums! Some of the finest exhibits can be seen in downtown Boston and Cambridge.

What I don't like about this destination:

Boston can be expensive if your not careful. Nightclubs close at 2:00 but the public transportation ends at 1:00?? Cabs are not as safe as NYC
