World Citizen in Rome

I've been an expat in different countries for more than 75% of my life at this point. This blog is about my life and adventures as a new resident of Rome, Italy

Italy
Milan

I am currently living in Italy since May 2009 (until July 2010)

My life & projects in this location:

I moved to Milan to attend an MBA. In the meantime I also met my future husband who I married and as a result moved to Rome where he works.

What I like about this destination:

Apperitivi!

What I don't like about this destination:

Winter weather ( no sun!)

Canada
Halifax

I lived in Canada from August 1997 to June 1998

My life & projects in this location:

Attended grade 12 to finish off high school before moving to Toronto for university

What I liked about this destination:

Amazingly friendly people, by far the friendliest of any of the 7 cities I have live din so far!

What I didn't like about this destination:

winter fog!

United Arab Emirates
Dubai

I lived in the United Arab Emirates from July 1993 to August 1997

My life & projects in this location:

I was in high school in Dubai, finishing my O Levels.

Bahrain
East Riffa

I lived in Bahrain from January 1981 to June 1993

My life & projects in this location:

I grew up mainly in Bahrain, moved to Dubai in Grade 9.

What I liked about this destination:

Bahrain was full of friendly locals and expats.

India
Mangalore

I lived in India from November 1980 to January 1981

My life & projects in this location:

I was born there, but moved to Bahrain immediately after. Although I did spent a few months back in Mangalore during the first Gulf War when my parents decided to send me back for security reasons.
