Were Brad and Lisa, who after many years of consideration, decided to take the leap and move abroad in March of 2009 with our then 15-month-old daughter and two pugs, Pablo and Paloma. Formerly of Minneapolis, MN, we moved to Montevideo, Uruguay. We chose Uruguay due to the economic and political stability, Spanish language, similar time zones to the US and high level of education and quality of life in Uruguay. An exploratory trip in March of 2008 (with our then 3-month-old daughter) sealed the deal for us and we put the pieces in place to move. We are now expats exploring the joys and struggles of international living! Being self employed affords us the flexibility to make such a move. As of September 2010, we moved to Bariloche, Argentina. This is just an extended vacation in Patagonia, you could say, although we were still working full time más o menos. We stayed about 5 months before arriving to Córdoba, Argentina where we currently still live as of November 2014. Plus our second daughter 2 1/2 years an Argentine/US citizen. Sadly, we just lost our our second pug. Brad is the owner of an independent, specialty travel agency, Pangaea Travel and Lisa runs a hand made tile company laNeva Tile. We both work with clients in Minnesota and across the USA.
