I moved here with three suitcases in 2010 from Northern California and lived first in San Pedro, and I am now living in San Ignacio. Expat experience
starting two businesses; entering the QRP program; setting up bank accounts; renting a home; getting a local mailbox; setting up utilities & cell phone/internet; purchasing vehicles; cost of living issues
Ease of immigrating; low cost of living; access to all kinds of nature (ocean or rivers, mountains or sand); friendly people; English speaking; climate
medical care system needs better qualified people; petty theft; humidity has taken a while for me to get used to
real estate agent, telecommunications, business owner pool and spa service, real estate investor, network marketer
easy to travel to many beautiful locations for a quick get away like Tahoe or Napa; friends and family there; San Francisco is beautiful; hiking!
