i am lately nomadic, working seasonally and moving as often as feasible. das mutterblog is letters to my mother (et cetera) from the most beautiful places that i know.

What I like about this destination:

freiburg is heaven

i may have bitten off more than i can chew (?)

hospitality work in glacier national park, hiking and climbing and swimming, living in a little wooden cabin in the woods

front desk and housekeeping

What I liked about this destination:

mountains! the most beautiful place on earth, methinks.

What I didn't like about this destination:

cranky tourists (how can one be so unpleasant in such a wonderful place?)

What I liked about this destination:

beautiful mountains, great hiking, funky locals, eco lifestyle, delicious turkish food, wonderful every-day market, best ice cream on the planet, fellow bike enthusiasts

What I liked about this destination:

great music, lovely venues, bike-friendly, urban lakes, mississippi river flats, vegetarian food, northerners

What I didn't like about this destination:

too goddamn cold - makes me grouchy
