I am an expatriate.I am American, and I am now living in New Zealand. I am currently in Christchurch.
About me
I moved to Christchurch with my partner. I'm the "trailing spouse." We're something of an unusual case for this area, a gay mixed-race couple. I had so much anxiety about that coming over, but we've a good run of it so far. We live in a proper city, but we look forward to seeing the countryside on the weekends. This Easter we've planned a trip to the West Coast which is supposed to have glaciers as well as rain forest.
My birthday is on 12 May, I was born in 1978

Just moved to Christchurch from San Francisco. This blog would probably interest people like me that, before moving, would like to read more first hand information from a newcomer.
