I am a Canadian retiree who has been spending my winters in Australia and summers in Canada, but am wanting to be closer to family, and finding that the long trips back and forth and reorganzing my life every time I do it, is getting tiring. I would love to live in a warm climate year round, hence my interest in Belize. I will be arriving Jan 16, 2016 with the idea of spending 3 or so months to have a look around and make some decisions about my future. I like the idea of not having to learn to communicate in another language, so the expat communities and the fact that Belize is English-speaking suits me just fine. Does anyone know of accommodation that would be furnished, etc. as I have only my suitcase, for 3 months. I would worry about getting around once I get there, but to have a place to crash when I arrive would be perfect. I would only require a one bedroom with kit and bath, but would love it to be within walking distance of town with an area where there are expats doing things. I enjoy the company of others and would like to participate in activities, whatever that it. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. I cannot imagine how we ever made it without the internet! Thanks for any info.....
