About me
Hi everyone. I'm English and have been living in Tokyo for seven years (as of 2009). Living here constantly challenges a person to reassess his or her way of thinking, and way of living. Staying sane takes up a large slice of the day, but is a battle I feel I'm losing! Tokyo sometimes feels to me like a spaceship, with day and night artificial creations. Come and see for yourself. My blog is part of my main web site, which is itself a way of communicating with friends, family, students and hopefully even unknown visitors. Having a visitor from Uruguay being the highlight so far. So gracias to him or her.

I came here as a married man, but have since gone through some major changes. I am in the process of recreating my life in a contented way.
My occupation:
I am a freelance teacher, and part-time writer and web site builder.
What I like about this destination:
Tokyo is maddening and intoxicating. It's like living on a spaceship with artificial time.
What I don't like about this destination:
Most ex-pats grow to hate Japan, but after going through this stage, the gripes are relatively minor.
