I am British, and I am now living in Brazil. I am currently in Rio de Janeiro.

About me

I first fell in love with Brazil in 1974 when I discovered Brazilian jazz. Arrived here as manager for Oxford University Press in 1979 and had an excellent 5 years here before deciding to return home. Spent the following 18 years, teaching EFL, teacher training, and marketing for Longman and the Bell Schools before setting up my own company, Florence Associates in 1993. Was here on September 11th and decided the way the world was going I would rather be back in Rio permanently. So I returned the following year and now run a new business- Hidden Pousadas Brazil, an on-line guide and booking service for some of the most wonderful places to stay in the world.
