I am American, and I am now living in Ethiopia. I am currently in Addis Ababa.

My path

About me

For many years I worked with Northwest Medical Teams International as a disaster relief nurse working with displaced people throughout Africa. I currently spend approximately half of the year living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and the other half in Anchorage, Alaska (USA). The organization I currently work for is a small non-profit based in the US that provides support for orphans and vulnerable children allowing them the opportunity to attend school. The organization also supports women affected by HIV/AIDs in income generating activities. Currently I am pursuing a master’s degree at Southern New Hampshire University (USA) in International Community & Economic Development and recently completed a master certificate in Microfinance Management. After completing my studies I hope to work in my field internationally.
