Introduction

Hello everyone, Allow me to introduce myself. I originally hail from Tunisia, but I was born in Nice, France. Since 2003, I've embarked on a journey of expatriation across Europe, which often raises questions about my true identity as an expatriate. I spent 3 years in Italy, 1 year in Austria, and then 2 years in England. Currently, I find myself back in my home country, Tunisia, where I've never lived before. Some may wonder if I still qualify as an expatriate, considering my return to my country of origin. For me, expatriation is more about the experience and perspective it brings rather than the place of residence. My travels across Europe have allowed me to explore new cultures, learn different languages, and meet incredible people. It has enriched my life in ways I could never have imagined. Today, I am involved in the real estate sector in Tunisia, specializing in the sale of beachfront properties along the golden coasts of this magnificent country. My role involves showcasing the wonderful real estate opportunities that Tunisia offers, particularly emphasizing properties with prime beachfront locations. I am truly passionate about my work, and I firmly believe that Tunisia holds tremendous potential in terms of real estate investments, providing international buyers with a unique opportunity to acquire their dream Mediterranean residence. I've been living in Tunisia since September 2008, and during these years, I've had a diverse and interesting experience in this beautiful country. Here's a glimpse into my journey: Positive Aspects: Climate and Scenic Beauty: One of the most appealing aspects of Tunisia for me is the climate. The abundant sunshine and great weather have been a constant source of joy. The stunning landscapes, particularly the coastal areas with their beautiful beaches, have made every day feel like a vacation. Local Culture and Nightlife: Tunisia's cultural diversity has been fascinating to explore. I've enjoyed the lively nightlife in cities like Sousse and Hammamet, where you can find a wide range of pubs and entertainment options. The unique charm of Sidi Bou Said and the cultural richness of the southern regions have left lasting impressions. Warm and Genuine People: The people of Tunisia have a reputation for their warm hospitality. I've encountered genuine individuals who have gone out of their way to welcome me and make me feel at home. However, I've also experienced the complexities of human relationships, as some can be less welcoming. Challenges and Concerns: Bureaucracy and Police Solicitation: Dealing with bureaucracy and the occasional experience of being asked for small bribes by the police at roundabouts can be frustrating. It's a practice that can create a negative perception of law enforcement. Smoking and Littering: The prevalence of smoking in public spaces can be a nuisance, especially for non-smokers. Additionally, littering on the streets can be an eyesore and harm the environment. In summary, my experience in Tunisia has been a mix of positive and challenging aspects. The natural beauty, climate, and rich culture have made my time here truly enjoyable. However, like any place, Tunisia has its drawbacks, including certain social and environmental issues. Despite the challenges, I remain committed to my goal of retiring here and continuing to enjoy the many wonderful aspects that this country has to offer.

I don't like the police in every roudabout begging for a few dinars. The people who smoke everywhere and those who drop their rubish on the streets...
