My name is Silvia, I am retired and spending a few months in Italy to learn Italian. I hope some time in the future to rent somewhere in Italy for some months of the year. I am going to join the Leonardo da Vinci Scuola in Siena in June to learn italian for two months and hopefully will pick up enough to give me a good start in learning the language further. I don't know Italy but have stayed in Venice 8 times and am in an apartment in Guidecca at the moment. I think I am a lot older than most of the people on this site (late 60's) but don't feel it. I'm always up for a new adventure, where ever and whenever. I work as a volunteer in a bookshop in Swansea, S. Wales and my co-workers are immigrants, refugees, people from all counties and all ages. They can't believe I've 'run away'!!! I'd love to hear from atone about their experiences in learning/living in Italy whatever age or gender. Silvia

I am going to Tuscany for two months to a language school and hope that after two months I will feel confidant to take the language further and then spend a lot more time in Italy
The sun, sun, sun and the warmth of the Italian people
Can't think of anything yet
