Hi, I'm an English teacher from a small town in Ohio, USA. I first moved abroad in 1995 and have since lived and taught in Thailand, S. Korea and Saudi Arabia. (various years in each country). I enjoy LOTS of things, but am currently learning piano and guitar. My plans are to remain in Saudi for the next ten years, until retirement (in'shAllah). I hope to split my future time between Alaska and Thailand while becoming 80% self-sufficient (I.E.; living off the land). I mostly enjoy practicing self-defense techniques and passing them on to people who are interested, mixing music loops digitally and producing my own music (mostly for film), creating works of art with digital landscapes and last but not least, performing / singing live.
I joined expat.com on 27 April 2015.
Invest well, work hard, travel ALOT (in and out of Kingdom), future planning, work online, produce film and music, write for film, sing more.
Taif is great. The weather alone makes it (hands down) one of the best locales in the Kingdom. It's proximity to Jeddah, desert spots and interesting, culturally-rich activities make it an all around good place to be.
lightning knocked out my satt tv and internet :p
Travel more, hang out in local hot spots, speak Thai as much as possible. More islands, more jungle.
Issan is awesome.

Ran a successful side project (business) on-compound regarding social activities. Sang in yet another band. Traveled a fair bit in-Kingdom and hung out with a lot of Cadets (students).
Near Bahrain and Dubai. Cool people (locals), great compounds.
I liked it, overall.
Taught privately, exclusively for 1/2 a year. Traveled to all 6 major mountain peaks in the country and climbed them all. Became more accomplished in the Korean language.
Bundang is a nice area to live in. Kimchi.
I loved it.
Got University teaching experience, completed visiting all 77 Thai provinces, worked as a full-time singer in a rock band for a solid year.
