I'm 52, love the outdoors, meeting new people, enjoying a good meal in good company, early morning walks, and traveling. I currently live in Canada but have lived and worked in southern Portugal. I've heard amazing things about Ecuador so I traveled there in January 2015 and spent 25 days. I rented a car and drove 2500 kms. all over to see and do everything I could. I thought it was a truly beautiful country, great people and culture, and a great deal of different and exciting things to do. I've come to the conclusion that I miss the more laid back and healthy lifestyle I had in Portugal and I'm trying now to arrange things so my wife and I can semi-retire in this beautiful country and maybe set up a small business to keep us active and engaged with the local community. My wife was not with me on my first visit so we will probably be going back this November to give her a better idea of what Ecuador has to offer. My wish is to be living there within the next 2 years.
