I am American, and I am now living in Austria. I am currently in Vienna.

About me

In 2005, I met an Austrian lad on the beach in my home state of California. A few years, a college graduation, and many plane tickets later, I moved to this little landlocked land for a teaching fellowship and yes, to be with the lad.

I spend my time between charming Vienna and the RURAL Styrian vineyard village where my boyfriend grew up. Austria is a country where the dialect changes every few kilometers, and writing in my native language keeps me (somewhat) sane.

I recently became a puppy momma to a little beagle we named Bode. ("Bo-Dee, like Bode Miller.) He mostly likes to cuddle, fart, and chew on things he shouldn't. I am absolutely smitten.

My birthday is on 6 October, I was born in 1984
