I am currently in Jubail, KSA. Originally I am from the Netherlands, Amstelveen (next to Amsterdam), the Netherlands. I am a chemist and have been teaching and researching for more than 20 years in theVrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Now, I work as Lead scientist in Analytical Technology for Sabic in its Technology Center in Jubail. I am married and have two children (twin boys of 19). During my career, I have been traveling a lot over the world and still like to see new places. Working abroad was a wish since I started my studies, but never thought to end up in KSA. The oputunity came along and I took it. Working here is fine, the rest I have to get used to. Luckely my wife is Filipina and I made already many friends here since a lot of work in household, hospitals and serving is done by Filipinos and Filipinas.
