I am Scottish, I've pretty much always lived in the North of Scotland. My mother moved my sister and myself to Oslo when I was 13, and I lived there with them for 5 years. I then moved back to North of Scotland and my sister and mother stayed. They now live in Haugesund and I am thinking about moving back. I can speak basic Norwegian, both Bokmal and Nynork dialects, but I am worried that in my line of work (procurement/project asst), that I may not have the correct technical language requirements to be hired? My partner is an Electrical Design Engineer and is worried about getting a job with almost no knowledge of the Norwegian language.
