I am American, and I am now living in Italy. I am currently in Acqui Terme (AL).

About me

I am Diana Strinati Baur.  My husband and I gave up life in the corporate world to come to Italy to open a small, elegant B&B, to do pottery and ceramics, to write, to learn about and sell wine.  We live in a beautiful corner of the world.  Piedmont is in the Northwestern corner of Italy, and is the country's most prominent wine region.  The climate here is similar to what one might find in the south of France.  We are an hour away from the Med, and an hour from Torino, where the 2006 Winter Olympics was held. 

I am a regular writer for the Slow Travel Website and Italian Notebook.  My blog is all about life here, the sweet and the bittersweet, the magic and the tragic.  It's all there -- the art, the music, the steps forward and backward, the dreams, the love, the reality of following one's dream.
