I'm a music teacher from the UK who decided to turn his back on the value system of my culture. By accident, I ended up in Ghana. I thought I was in paradise as most of us do when we arrive. Then the cracks began to show and I realised I had jumped from one sinking ship to another. It's just that this one has smaller holes. I have now learnt to value many things about my own culture but there are also many things I value about my life here. I can't imagine living anywhere else.
