I am a 26 year old female from England. I have been living in Germany since August 2012. I can also speak and understand a little German. I am looking for a long term position as a nanny either full time or part time. I am a friendly, independent, reliable and caring individual. I'm very active and have a positive outlook on life. I have a lot of hobbies. I like reading, cooking, skiing, sailing, travelling, photography, history, yoga, ballet, listening to music, painting, arts and crafts. I also sing and play the piano. When I left school at 18 I traveled around the world and worked a little with children. I've seen some fantastic places. In England I I worked in various businesses in administrative type roles but also volunteered in local kindergartens in my spare time. I also used to volunteer at my local library (as I am a huge fan of books) and helped with a reading challenge for children. I have a fair amount of experience working with children but don't have a degree or qualification in childcare. I've decided after working in offices and with children that childcare is the career path I'd like to take. I might look at studying a degree in childcare in the near future. I have been living and working as a nanny in Germany for just over to years. I first worked for a family as nanny in Frankfurt for a year looking after 2 boys ages 5 and 8. Afterwards I spent three months looking after a 5 year old girl also in Frankfurt. I am currently working as a nanny for a family near Heilbronn but will end my contract in November. I have been with them since November 2013. I've had a great time working for this family but I would like a change. I would really like to improve my German so it would be great to find a family that will allow me to improve my German. Ich möchte mein Deutsch verbessern. Ich verstehe fast alles, aber ich kann es nicht sehr gut sprechen! I also worked for a family in Australia in 2008 looking after two boys aged 3 and 5. I have also done voluntary work in various kindergartens and schools with children ages 10 months to 7 years. I have a half sister who is now eight and I have helped look after her since she was new born. I have had about 3 years paid experience but have done a few more years in voluntary work. Before I came to Germany I worked in administrative type roles but found sitting at a computer all day a little boring. I find working with children is much more exciting and rewarding!
