Im from south-east London, UK, and I moved to Bogotá, Colombia, in October 2013 for reasons of the heart During the first month or so in Bogotá, I felt completely disorientated and overwhelmed in the city (to some extent I still do, one year on); I wish Id had a Bogotá handbook. So once I was more or less settled in, I decided to start a blog about life in Bogota, about customs, difficulties I have faced (such as taking taxis; fathoming how the Transmilenio bus system works; how to post a letter etc.), things Ive noticed, and am offering up a few tips which I definitely would have found useful in the beginning.
