About me

During the summer of 2006 my wife and I found ourselves in a small airport in Xinjiang, China holding all our belongings and not a clue as to what we were doing. We were coming to teach, we knew that much, but where the heck were we?

After years of traveling around Xinjiang I am now convinced it is one of the most underrated and beautiful parts of China that most people neglect to notice. It's also one of the most misunderstood. I decided to begin to write about the area in hopes that I could shed light on Xinjiang's people, places, and incredible culture.
