I am not yet an expatriate, but I am looking for information about life abroad.

I am British, and I would like to live in New Zealand. I am currently in North Island.

About me

We are a family of 6, Mum, Dad and 4 children agen 8yrs, 6yrs, 4yrs and almost 2yrs.  I am a childminder and am doing my NVQ2 in Hairdressing (half way through my first year of two) and we are seriously considering a move to New Zealand on the North island possibly near Wellington or Hamilton (although that's just from internet research) myself and my husband hope to be able to come and visit next June.  We are looking for advice on visa applications and on what life down under is like for an Ex-pat.

My birthday is on 13 September
