Hello there I am a British National. currently living in England, UK. I am Non-Religious ... Athiest. I am Retired, and have been researching / exploring the realities, behind Sustainable Retirement living abroad, in a Warmer Climate! My countries of interest are: Southern Spain; Portugal; Canary Islands, possible other. I will be a Solo Traveller. I am Hoping to obtain as much GENUINE information from members. In particular, from a Female Perspective. Safety is at the top of my Awareness list. I am Not Comfortable in Crowded environments, Big Cities/Towns. Provincial locations are more appealing, being not too Far Away from a town with amenities! Renting a property, presents the more likely option for me. Your insight into the General "Does & Don'ts", would be most welcomed. Like, Safety, Visas (short & Long Term), Renting/Leasing Property; Public Transport; Hiring a vehicle (car or Motorbike) -vs- Purchasing ... Driving License requirements ... Taking the Ferry or Aeroplane when Island hopping ... And, anything General, that comes to mind ;) .... Please share any useful information no matter how trivial it may sound.
