My client is a private investment group with a twenty-five year heritage of generating and allocating capital and ideas that can help people to lead more prosperous lives, and which applies its investor’s expertise to a long standing involvement in the sustainable development of communities around the globe.
The Role
Based at their headquarters in Dubai, an exciting and challenging opportunity exists for an experienced Technical Support Analyst to provide a high quality IT Support experience to employees within their company. The primary function is to provide a world class proactive IT support function to the Dubai Head office. This involves dealing with colleagues at various levels in the organisation, so clear, smart and proactive communication skills are of paramount importance.
Key Responsibilities
• Providing proactive 1st & 2nd line support for our users. Communicating with users from start through to resolution with follow up
• Designing and providing training for users covering the various IT Systems
• 24/7 on call support
• Procurement of all IT and technology supplies as well as negotiating new/better terms with existing and new suppliers
• Investigating new technologies for the desktop environment
• Management of the desktop environment to maintain IT standards
• Compilation and maintenance of the IT Asset Register
• Ensure daily tools & IT facilities for the organisation are fully operational and available through a series of daily checklists
• New user inductions
• Desktop & mobile computing security
• Work with the Director of IT to prepare Budgets and Strategy for the desktop environment
The Candidate – Key Attributes
• Very high understanding of desktop support side troubleshooting
• Exposure to Bloomberg & Reuters systems
• Ability to offer first class telephone support for travelling users
• Passionate about IT, gadgets and hand held devices that translates into a natural and instinctive desire to deliver world class troubleshooting skills and an enhanced user experience
• Willingness to learn new technologies and develop IT skills
• Ability to work in high pressure environments
• Enthusiastic and high energy
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A team player.
• Personal values aligned with the company’s core values of integrity, humility, commitment, diligence and entrepreneurship.
• Flawless attention to detail.
• Commitment to excellence.
Language Requirement
• Native (or equivalent) English speaker (no other language is required).
Experience Requirement
• University degree in related subject (Computer Science or Business)
• MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional/CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certifications– advantageous
• Working with Cisco & Microsoft infrastructure, familiarity with Cisco telephone systems
• Computing certifications
• Working in a professional services organisation (Financial Services or Legal)
• Minimum two to five years’ experience of desk side support
Remuneration
