A large hospital in Galway is seeking a Consultant Haematologist to join their service for a period of six months. Ideally commencing in June, this position is based in Galway City which is an attractive location in the west of Ireland which is easily accessible and close to the popular west coast.

The hospital is one of the major academic teaching hospitals in Ireland. It aims to deliver high quality care for all its patients, in a safe and secure environment and to achieve excellence in clinical practice, teaching, training and research.



The hospital is a large teaching hospital combines in-patient and out-patient clinical services, with related laboratory activity.



The position requires a candidate with the following attributes:



• Be registered or eligible to register with the Irish Medical Council

• 7+ years experience

• As a consultant being able to give direction and guidance to doctors in the department is very important

• Must be willing to be an important member of a team
