Under the responsibility of the coordinator of the mission and after a training ground, you will accompany the cruise ship watching humpback whales in Madagascar as a naturalist guide. As part of your mission, you will animate conferences information and you will be asked to collect scientific data necessary for offshore work of the association (GPS readings, photographs, recordings of songs ...) . The sale of products and its management will also be your responsibility. Mission goal: To raise awareness on the observation sites, the pilots of boats and tourists about the need to respect a code of approach. Collect scientific data to improve knowledge and thus better protected. Ecovolontaire Mission Baleines à bosse Madagascar
Sous la responsabilité du coordinateur de la mission et après une formation de terrain, vous accompagnerez les croisières touristiques d’observation des baleines à bosse à Madagascar en tant que guide naturaliste. Dans le cadre de votre mission, vous animerez des conférences d’information, et vous serez sollicité pour récolter les données scientifiques en mer nécessaires au travail de l’association (relevés GPS, photos, enregistrements de chants…). La vente des produits dérivés et sa gestion seront également sous votre responsabilité.
Objectif de la mission : Sensibiliser sur les sites d’observation, les pilotes des bateaux et les touristes sur la nécessité de respecter un code d’approche. Collecter des données scientifiques pour améliorer la connaissance et ainsi mieux protéger. Soutenir l’économie locale par la promotion de l’artisanat baleinier et mise en valeur du patrimoine baleinier lors d’évènements organisés par l’association.
