In order to maintain the ecological balance of the ecosystem in New Zealand, products of organic or animal origin as well as living animals or biological specimens are prohibited from entering the country.
Drugs and firearms are prohibited.
Food and edible products are also prohibited from entering New Zealand.
On arrival, you must declare to customs the following products if they exceed the authorized amounts or values:
Tobacco:
200 cigarettes;
250 gr of tobacco;
50 cigars;
A mix of three not exceeding 250 grams.
Alcohol:
4.5 liters of wine or 4.5 liters of beer;
3 bottles containing not more than 1125 ml of spirits or liqueurs.
Cash:
NZ $ 10,000.00
Personal belongings of a value up to NZ $700.
Good to know:
If you carry equipment for your professional use, or if you carry the equipment or the effects of someone else, you must declare to customs at the airport.
