Flea markets in Goa: A quick detour of the top three
You know you are in a flea market when you find yourself amidst music, dance, food, artifacts and souvenirs. And you know you are Goa, if you love what you see! Goa has some of the best flea markets of Asia.

Anjuna Flea Market: Anjuna Flea Market is the most notable of the lot in the state. The small strip of land near the Anjuna Beach comes alive (and kicking) every Wednesday when hawkers bawl out in big screams jostling for the attention of tourists (especially the foreigners) to stick them their bunch of goods, which can comprise anything from a hat to an electronic device to cheap jewelry. Haggling is a must in such markets.
Timings: Every Wednesday from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm
Friday Bazaar, Mapusa: Held every Friday, the Friday Bazaar is the best thing that has ever happened to Mapusa, an otherwise unpopular corner! Since it is a very prominent and heavily visited flea market, one can even go on to say that this bazaar is Mapusa's claim to fame. Though a potpourri of items is sold here, the most popular ones are Feni (a local liquor) and cashew. Again, you must haggle hard to survive getting bankrupt! The hawkers craftily inflate the prices.
Timings: Every Friday from 8 am to 7 pm
Ingo's Saturday Night Market: This is the best market (held at Arpora) if you want to have some fun or if you care to peep into the local culture. With tattoo artists ready to paint your arms, with food vendors willing to appease your bellies and with fortune tellers posing to know everything about you, you will have a whale of a time out here. And after all, it is a shopper's paradise where you can pick up stuffs which you need regularly and even stuffs which you may never need. No wonder, they say that spending an evening at Ingo's is amongst the best things to do in Goa! The market is an evening affair and opens at 7 pm every Saturday.
