I knew I wanted to do it: I mean, who wouldn’t want to pack up a good, well paid job as head of French in a large secondary school in Leeds, leave a comfortable home, best friend, great neighbours, David Lloyd gym subscription, Marks and Spencers ready prepared meals, Ruchee’s - the best curry house in Yorkshire.....waaaargh, I forgot about all that! I want to go home! But seriously, I never really thought we’d do it until I was in the car, loaded up to the eyeballs and handing over the keys of our home to complete strangers.
