This is the story of my days as a wife and mum in Africa. Three years is going to be a long time and I still can't believe we are here. What we do, experience and enjoy is what I would like to share. We are far away from the comforts of where we call home but isn't home where the heart is?
Blogs from expats in Luanda
Would you like to work, live, move to Luanda? Or just to find out how is life in Luanda? We've got much more than travel brochures: read blogs written by expats living in Luanda!
Diary of an involuntary expat I first came to Africa in the early 90's, supposedly for one year; six months in Mozambique followed by six months in Angola and then home again. 14 years later, I am still here. I have gone where the jobs were, in mine clearance, security, the oil industry anything that would put bread on the table. I have a farm in southern Angola but work out of Luanda. I am 48 years old, have an 8 year old son, a longtime girlfriend half my age, three dogs, and a wife with whom I have not lived or really spoken to for nearly four years.
